It's been a wild year!
In June I moved from my hometown for forever, Houston, TX, to a little piece of heavenly pasture just outside of Tyler, TX. Leaving behind family, friends, and the wonderful songwriting community in Houston was hard, but it was time for me to try some new things, both professionally and personally.
I started up the East Texas Chapter of Nashville Songwriters Association (NSAI) right away, to start jumping into the songwriter community in and around the Piney Woods. I've met some great people and passionate writers as a result.
My husband and I have been fixing up our ranch and its amenities to do some cool musical things starting next year, with a Christ-centered focus. We've been blessed with a beautiful place to live, which we call WeHope Ranch, and have decided to share the experience with others in the form of house concerts, songwriting retreats and other creative pursuits.
This past fall I was invited to be a part of Season 2 of Real Women Real Songs, facilitated by Cary Cooper. We are 22 women who will write a song a week, beginning January 6th. I'll be uploading videos to that YouTube site and might sneak some on here, too. Yep. 52 songs. Sheesh...
Thanks for checking in here. If I have some breaking news or mild entertainment for you I'll post it here or send it to you via email, so please be sure and sign up to receive my e-news on the link to the left.
Have a great holiday season, and a very happy new year to come! Thanks for all your support!
